Weekly Community Zoo Storytime 2025 sponsored by ConocoPhillips Alaska
We are excited to announce the 2025 sponsorship of weekly Zoo Community Storytime by ConocoPhillips Alaska! This program is FREE for zoo members and non-members alike weekly on Wednesdays in our Zoo Gateway Hall located outside of the entrance. The program is held from 10:30am-11am. We are WILD about encouraging kids to read!

Storytime Details:
- Animal books read by a zoo volunteer.
- 2025 sessions start January 8th.
- Weekly on Wednesdays all year long unless noted.
- Program is from 10:30-11am.
- Location is the Gateway Hall unless noted.
- No registration! Just join us! FREE program for everyone!
- Free Storytime tote bags and coloring sets while supplies last.
- Kids must be with an adult (parent, grandparent, etc.).
- Ratio is 1 adult to 5 kids.
- Best for ages 7 and under but all emerging readers welcome!
- Pearl the bunny or another animal will join us each week.
- Fun props and floor cushions.
- Animal books read by a zoo volunteer.

We encourage all participants to walk the trails after the program, paying special attention to visit the animal species featured in the books of the day. Those who choose to enter the zoo will pay regular rates or use their memberships as usual. The Gift Shop and Kape Espresso Tayo Coffee Shop will be open for business. Your purchases support the zoo animals and programs. Thank you!
