Fun on the Farm

For a memory-making day in the country, look no further than Long Acre Farms. Known for their "Fields of Fun for Everyone" the farm offers a growing list of fun farm activities. From an ice cream shop and farm market to a jumping pillow, corn maze and gemstone panning, Long Acre Farms has activities to entertain all ages. Long Acre's first claim to fame came in 1998 with the addition of a nationally known agri-tourist phenomenon, the Amazing Maize Maze, which attracts thousands of visitors each year. (Long Acre Farms was, in fact, the first AMM site in New York State.) But they have plenty to do in the summer, too, as well as

Water works!

Wayne County is a great place to get out on the water. With both Great Lakes and Finger Lakes, we have what you're looking for! Plenty of sailing, charter boat services, kayak & paddle boat rentals, and fishing opportunities are available.

When the weather is warm, think the beach: Sodus Point Beach Park! Cool off in the gentle waves of the mighty Great Lake Ontario. The wide, sandy beach has a playground for the kids, a snack bar, and new changing rooms. There is a smaller beach on the bay side, and both beaches have lifeguards. You can walk the pier out to the old lighthouse or sit and relax and watch the boats come through the channel.

Looking for some peace and quiet on the water? The historic Erie Canal traverses through Wayne County and offers the visitor a wide range of activities. Mid-Lakes Erie Macedon Landing, located in the Town of Macedon offers a comfortable stop or convenient base for the canal traveler. Lockmaster canalboats are available for week long charter as well as canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats for rent. Mid-Lakes Erie Macedon Landing is also a departure location for overnight canal cruises. Please check out their web site for information on canal cruises.

Sports Central

For faster-paced entertainment, Eagle Ridge Sports is the answer. The Comstra Family invites you to come by and visit their exciting facility. It's well worth the short ride out Route 104 to Williamson! You will find a relaxed yet professional practice facility in a park-like setting. Bring the whole family. Your preschoolers will entertain themselves in the over-sized sand box. Older kids can putt their way through our challenging 18 hole miniature golf course. Take a spin on one of their brand-new GoKarts and experience the thrill of the new track! Golfers of all ages can grab a bucket of balls and try to hit that '63 Bug out on the range.

Also in the town of Williamson is Spencer Speedway. It is a 1/2-mile flat asphalt oval and is currently NASCAR-sanctioned as part of the Whelen All-American Modified Series. The Speedway also has a Dragway that runs Saturday Night and is NHRA Sanctioned. Check out their website for a schedule of racing.
